American Wine Blog Awards Finalists Announced

First, it's important that I thank everyone who took the time to nominate the various blogs. I have to thank the judges (more on them below) who looked over all the blogs nominated in each category and came back with their finalist. That was a lot of work.

It's a very impressive collection! Congratulations finalists.

The folks who methodically went through all the nominated blogs and came up with these finalists were hand picked by me. I wanted folks that knew the wine industry and were familiar with world of web/wine 2.0. I also wanted folks who knew journalism and writing. Looks like I missed the window for voting, but for what it's worth, Jerry Hall's Winewaves blog is worthy of extending the deadline. A prolific and dedicated blogger, his writing and practicality are refreashing. And his photography is unmatched.

Back Roads Wine has a blog, videos and now models wineries on Google Earth. They are much more than just a wine blog. They also give awards to wineries in Livermore to restaurants that carry local wines.
