The first podcast is still the best....informative, friendly, timely, with easy to understand guidance for wine, food and winery operation.

I know that some will want to nominate/have someone else, however, I think we all know who is the best and trust me, Im as "against-the-grain, anti-establishment" as the next person.

I vote for Napa Valley Wine Radio as best podcast because it has recipes, wine education, varietal education, and complete audio. The podcasts are informative and entertaining, with good, solid research and quality production.

There is no question the best wine blog video is http://tv.winelibrary.com/
Gary Vaynerchuk The dude has over 400 episodes and is teaching everyone to trust and develop their own pallet. Any other winner but him would be ridiculous.
Posted by: Tracy Reasoner | February 20, 2008 at 12:34 AM
Gary Vannerchuck is boring..tasting wine in front of a camera is lame. THIS SHOULD NOT WIN. There are better examples of "wine" video podcasts, like http://www.adoptagrape.org
besides, didn't gary win last year?
Are video wine blogs intended to ultimately sell a bottle of wine...or educate and entertain?

I nominate http://www.adoptagrape.org

I don't believe in self-nominating, so this is not a nomination.
That being said, I think that what Kaz and I bring to wine podcasting is an industry focus (as opposed to a consumer or winemaker focus), while providing a wide range of news and information ranging from Sonoma Valley (where both of us live, and at least Kaz works) to the entire world. We give opinions on the most pressing issues facing the wine industry, and have some of the most interesting people in wine come to talk with us (that is, wine bloggers!)
Have a listen when you can, and we hope to be really, legitimately nominated in coming years.

So I'm in the same boat as Randy. I'm not self nominating either but check out Discover Wine Country TV:
http://www.discoverwinecountry.tv
We are hoping to build a great video based website that really gives an inside look to this industry. Since we are just launching no one has really heard of us yet but we plan on giving everyone a go next year for this award.

I vote for napavalleywineradio.com too. It has a consistent presence and I know it won't disappear or go silent in 3 months. Also, the quality is great.

Is there any question in this category? There are many great nominees in this category, but I predict that WLTV will sweep - and win.
